The story of Dentapreg® and Fibrafill® started in – of all places – a kindergarten way back in Communist Czechoslovakia when two friends were playing together in a sandbox. One of them was Josef Jancar and the other Zbynek Sedivy. Many years passed. After the Velvet Revolution came the fall of communism and the two friends finally had the freedom and opportunity to live their dreams. Mr. Sedivy, as an engineer, was involved in the transition of the Czech aeronautic industry towards a Western oriented business. Mr. Jancar, as a physical chemist, became a postdoctoral scholar at the University of Connecticut where he was focusing on material science in medicine.

After the fall of communism, Zbyněk Šedivý contributed to the transformation of the Czech aviation industry, while Josef Jančář dedicated himself to materials science in medicine. Many years later, the two friends reunited. They no longer talked about the sandbox, but about their professional interests. In 1995, they founded ADM a.s. (Advanced Dental Materials), where they began exploring the use of advanced composites in dentistry. The development of a new class of composites took several years, but in 2004 the first generation of Dentapreg products was introduced.

Today, ADM a.s. counts leading dentists around the world among its clients, and its Dentapreg and Fibrafill product lines help patients on every continent.
